                                                                        Sunday May 3 - Saturday May 9, 2020


Hurricanes are among nature's most powerful and destructive phenomena. On average, 12 tropical storms, of which 6 become hurricanes, and 2 of those becoming major hurricanes, form over the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, or the Gulf of Mexico during hurricane season (June 1 through November 30).
