Signed a contract last week. 1500 sq feet, two ridge vents, Owens Corning membrane not tar paper, soffit intake vents, fascia intake vents, repair some storm damaged siding. $5550. Plywood at $65 a sheet. If I need more than 10 then they are $55 a sheet.
They are also moving two of my cameras higher than I can reach and running the wires into my attic. Just asked that I throw his guys lunch money.
While I wish we could do solar the overall costs are to high and not worth what we would have to give up. I will be putting a small solar setup maybe three or four hundred watt panels on my shed to run my alarm system, cameras, cable modem and router etc off of the grid. I could always fire up the furnace off the batteries at night as well if needed.
Edit for typo
