County Officials are Asking Nassau CERTs to be ACTIVATED for OEM Phone Coverage

Dear CERTs,

County Officials are asking Nassau CERTs to be activated for OEM Phone Coverage during the COVID-19 Pandemic event starting today 3/17/2020.

We need CERT members to assist with incoming calls for OEM and the Health department.

Operational periods started today from 8:00 AM – 11:59 PM--Monday thru Friday.

Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) will be 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM.

Staffing level will be 4 CERTs per shift during the day and 2 CERTs in the evening and weekend.

If you are available for any or all parts of the shift please respond with your availability.


Respond ONLY if you can work. Once we receive responses, we will get back to advise you of the schedule. As we all know this situation is changing rapidly, so as things changes so will our roles.
