OK, we got carried away a little. MY concept was and is what do you keep in your car ALL winter in case you get stuck on the LIE or any other road for two days. That's a realistic scenario to prepare for. The reality is you would most likely get rescued within 24 hours so 48 is a good cushion. This is not a go bag, prepper bag or long term survival bag. It's what do you need so you live for two days in your car in the cold, that's it!!!
Bare Essentials!!!! My real intention for this Topic was to hopefully make some of us throw some stuff in our cars, forget about it and then if needed and you get stuck, you say to yourself, hey, "I got that bag in the car, this won't be so bad" You don't need a Brick Pizza Oven or a Keurig Coffee maker, just some cheap simple stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!
LMAO!! Greg, you saved the best comment for last! lol I'm reading ALL of the comments and ideas, and now I'm trying to think of something to add the no one else said
( Everyone had some great ideas, but you right about this being a basic bag. I have a car bag that I made myself over the years. Nothing special just car stuff. Fix a flat, wd-40, tool kit, jumper cables, tire plugs, leather man, flash light, and a bunch of other things that I don't remember right now lol
I think this idea is excellent and we should ALL consider this as the winter creeps up. 1 back back is all you need. Everything should fit and you can leave this in truck a long with your coats, hats, gloves, etc.
"By failing to prepare you are preparing to fail" correct? I'd rather be safe then sorry. I work about 30 or so from work and if we get a snow storm that time can triple. Again, great topic lets keep it going with some more great ideas!
